Marketing Campaign Throwback

The great thing about having more than two decades of experience is being able to look back at marketing campaigns over the years. It’s fascinating to see what tactics worked then - and still work today, what marketing trends are coming back in favour today, and which trends are no longer relevant to current audiences.

Around halfway through the first decade of the 2000s, Boo La La (formerly Carol’s Costume Corner in B.C.) approached our team with a rebranding request. The challenge was to completely revamp and revitalize the costume shop’s brand look and feel. We suggested an integrated marketing campaign to increase awareness of the rebranded company, showcase its high-quality merchandise, and highlight its professional, unique service offering.

The successful campaign involved everything from a new name, new logo, and new signage, to social media, press management and the launch of a pop-up shop. The campaign resulted in a significant increase in client traffic and a 20% increase in merchandise sales.
